The Acer Tempo DX900, announced today at the 2009 Mobile World Congress, is the first smartphone in the world with dual-SIM support for both 3G and EDGE networks. The DX900 allows you to simultaneously use two SIM cards, with both able to take advantage of high-speed data connections.
The Acer Tempo DX900 is dominated by a 2.8" VGA (640x480 pixels) resolution touchscreen display and a new custom user interface, designed to be finger-friendly. This smartphone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, with Pocket Outlook and mobile versions of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint, to help you get work on documents on-the-go.
On the fun side, the DX900 features a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with accompanying memory card slot for extra storage. A front facing VGA-resolution camera is also onboard for video calling, where supported. Pricing and availability details for the Acer Tempo DX900 were not provided.
