Primed and ready for the holiday shopping season, Sanyo and Sprint Nextel have launched a brand new music orientated handset, the Sanyo M1. The Sanyo M1 trades the memory card slot found on most music handsets these days for 1GB of on board memory, which will either be a boon or a turn off, depending on who you talk to.

Coming in at the high-end of Sprint's CDMA line up, the Sanyo M1 features a 2.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus lens and a QVGA resolution TFT LCD display. Music aficionados will appreciate the inclusion of the A2DP stereo Bluetooth headset profile, though Sanyo has shunned the newer 2.0 standard in favour of Bluetooth v1.2. Music control keys on the outside of the flip also ease listening to music on the go. The Sanyo M1 is compatible with Sprint's Power Vision services over EV-DO high-speed data, meaning compatibility with Sprint Music and Sprint TV, among other things.
