Today Sanyo announced the newest addition to their 8000 series mobile phone lineup, the Sprint Power Vision SCP-8400. The Sanyo SCP-8400 is a stylishly designed clamshell that packs quite a multimedia punch.

Apart from looking good, the Sanyo SCP-8400 comes equipped with a microSD memory card slot that backs up the handset's 1.3 megapixel camera and built-in MP3/AAC music player application. The Sprint Power Vision multimedia application will allow users to view streaming tv or videos on the SCP-8400's bright 2", 240x320 pixel QVGA TFT display. Listening to audio can be done either on the device's built-in speakerphone, or with the included stereo headset.

Other highlights of the Sanyo SCP-8400 include a parental control application that allows mom or dad to limit incoming and outgoing calls in a number of ways. A couple of additional features of note are the included 64MB microSD card, and Bluetooth. Sanyo has also included FaceMasks with the SCP-8400. FaceMasks allow the users to easily change the look of their phone by snapping a new faceplate on their phone to create a whole new look. Each SCP-8400 ships with one FaceMask and is available in the following colors: midnight black with blue FaceMask, electric blue with black FaceMask, and powder white with metallic lavender FaceMask.
