On Monday Sony Ericsson launched the new J220 entry level handset. The J220 is meant to be simple to use, and even goes so far as to offer a single icon per page menu system in addition to the normal 3x3 icon grid menu typically used by Sony Ericsson handsets. This seems to be targeting current users of Nokia's Series 40 handsets, who are use to a similar and equally simple user interface.

Beyond that, the J220 offers little except for compact size, low weight, and the ability to swap covers by purchasing optional Sony Ericsson Style-Up covers.
