Today in London, Sony Ericsson announced their new W660 handset, a member of the company's Walkman model lineup that focuses a bit more on design than some of its siblings. This is not to say that it can't compete on the music front as well, however. The W660 can store up to 470 songs (in eAAC+ format) on its included 512MB Memory Stick Micro (M2), and those tracks can be played over a Bluetooth 2.0 stereo connection so that they can be enjoyed with wireless headphones. If headphones aren't your style, the W660 can also be used with the new MPS-75 snap-on stereo speakers.

Other multimedia highlights include a 2" 262k color display, and a 2 megapixel main camera with picture blogging capability. A second, forward-facing camera is also available for video calls when the W660 is used on the 2100MHz UMTS band. The phone also supports the 900, 1800, and 1900MHz GSM bands with GPRS data, but, sadly, does not support EDGE. Like most phones these days, the W660 can run Java MIDP 2.0 applications and supports USB 2.0 connectivity - a cable is included in the box.
